SINGAPORE: Allegations that police officers target Malays during security checks at MRT stations are baseless and untrue, said the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on Wednesday (Jul 10).
Its comments are in response to a video circulating online which shows officers conducting checks on a man at Bishan MRT station. A man is seen shouting and gesturing at a group of officers.

Having the polis (NS boys?) patrol MRT stations is a waste of time. It's just for show, and to placate the overly anxious twits who love their false sense of security derived from seeing armed men in uniform nearby.

The security of every station should be the responsibility of the public transport company in charge of it.

I have noticed that at the MRT Stations, many of those who are stopped for checks by the police patrolling are mostly "mexicans" or "kek leng". You will see them checking the NRIC & talking into their communicator...verifying. Chinese, seen, but rare.. Ang mohs & other races..NEVER seen one.

Have to put on a show...you see many of them, patrolling the MRT Station...at the airport, they carry rifles...if don't check, how to justify their pay, especially the higher ups...?

One abang years ago, when few of them did N.S., told me, he is bumiputra..that is why, never got called up for N.S....Abang now should ask that question " am I a bumiputra"...the kek leng should ask, " you don't see in colour?, only black?"

I have good things to say about our malay friends in Singapore. Most of them are good humble folks.
I trust them much more than CECAs or PRCs.
