a good mobile or laptop probably set you back by $1500/-.

for laptop, if you need to recover data, you will need data recovery. moreover, if getting a new laptop, what about your software licences, you will probably need to fork out more money. and it's a hassle to reinstall everything from scratch and load your old emails too.

some corporate professionals use microsoft outlook cos' of reminders and calendars, more efficient.

Microsoft Exchange also has a web-based solution, everything is stored on the server.

You don't have to download all the emails into your inbox. All you need to do is log in and retrieve the attachments you need to work with.

not everyone uses exchange, self hosting email is not viable cos' of security issues. i host my email with google g suite.

No context how to give answer?

If its a cheapo phone, then fuck it and just buy a new one la.

If it is expensive iPhone, then see what type of damage la. If screen shattered, u might as well get a new one.

For the more expensive mobile phones, if you have the habit of always dropping your phone, it might be cheaper to pay a bit more for additional warranty support e.g. AppleCare for iPhone.

If you have a HABIT of always dropping your phone, you shouldn't have a expensove smartphone at all cos you are not compatible with these devices. Lol.

Not me, I don't drop my phone. Others do.

Sometimes they drop their phone at a nightclub or on a taxi ride, and never get it back.

Not you personally. Just those people who do as you said.

i am one of those, and i am using a huawei nova 2i, bought @ $300. for almost a year, and i am quite an intensive user and quite surprised that the battery till today can last me up to two days. huawei is the best! my iphone 7's battery gets drained very fast so i gave up even less than a year.

If you don’t want to be Edison number two, yeah don’t repair. Rip out the hdd and dump into the sea.
