Some of us may have experienced that sinking feeling when you realise what you ordered looks nothing like what was advertised.
Stomper Noah experienced that intense disappointment recently when he ordered a "Domo Potato" at Hei Sushi's Sembawang Shopping Centre on Saturday evening (Feb 23).
Noah, who is a huge Domo fan, told Stomp that what he got was "100 per cent different" from what the menu showed.
Domo-kun is a Japanese character that was initially the official mascot of Japanese television station NHK. It has since grown to become a pop culture icon.
Initially, Noah was excited to see the "Domo Potato" in the menu and decided to get one.

He shared a photo of how different the item looked like when it arrived at his table.

"It is 100 per cent different from the menu let alone the original Domo character," he said.
"I am a Domo fan and I am offended by this misleading photo in the menu."
He shared with Stomp a photo of merchandise he has collected to show what Domo is actually supposed to look like.

Halal sushi place. I rest my case.

There's another halal Jap restaurant in JCube.

Hint: if you don't find a lot of Japs dining at a Jap restaurant (or izakaya), you'll most likely be disappointed. Sushi Tei is the bare minimum baseline standard. Use that as a point of reference.

Stomper Noah needs to stop behaving like a fucking child. He needs to grow up and get over his fascination with infant toys.

With a range of food delivery options to choose from, getting your meals sent to the comfort of your home is easier than ever.
However, how do you know what you are getting?
For most at-home diners, they rely on photos to decide on what to order, which is what Stomper Angela did when ordering two meals using the foodpanda app.
She decided that she was in the mood for Japanese cuisine and ordered a "Salmon Teriyaki Set" and "Chicken Teriyaki Ebi Fry Bento" from JJ Food Express.

Things turned sour when she received her meals and noticed the drastic difference from the photos that were advertised.
Apart from the stark disparity in appearance, she noticed that her meals were missing items as well.
"My salmon meal did not come along with a salad that was included in the photo," she said.
She added that the salad that came with the chicken teriyaki meal was different from the photo shown in the menu.
"Both meals didn't come with soups either."

Do you think that this difference between expectation and reality is a cause for concern or something that you can live with? Tell us in the comments below.
