Mediacorp integrates English-language channels Channel 5 and okto

Mediacorp will integrate two of its English-language channels, Channel 5 and okto, making the former the "definitive English-language channel for families in Singapore", the organisation announced on Wednesday (Feb 20). From May 1 this year, Channel 5 will combine "the best of both channels" with new content and fresh formats to cater to every member of the family, said Mediacorp in a media release.

I'm looking forward to a much better Channel 5, now that both English language channels have been merged. With the best of both channels, Channel 5 would be more robust and have better shows, leading to skyrocketing viewership before the end of the first half of this year.

You should get cable tv as soon as possible.

Cable is irrelevant nowadays too. Many people subscribe to Netflix.

Still not sure why a so-called 'smart nation' is not allowing satellite tv, while the most backward kampungs in Malaysia have Astro satellite dishes on the roofs of houses.

Cruise ships out at sea all have satellite tv, so please don't say it is 'technologically unfeasible'.
