Quite common for people who joined WP to ask people he knows to join WP.
To revive a party is not that easy and the authorities will put up obstacles to that. There are no merits in a reviving a defunct political party because there are not much of political value anymore. How many young people know about UPP? Most probably only those above 45 years old or so have impression about UPP.
There are quite a number of political parties here in Singapore for anyone to choose from and some of them have strong brand names. Unless you have something very very different in ideology from others, else most likely it would be more effective by joining the present political parties available.
Pssst! Have you got the website address of another old party?
I heard rumours of one Dr. Lee trying to revive the Barisan Socialis (Dunno if he is related to Lee Siew Choh?)
Think it's the same reason why people join their particular party among many to choose from, form new parties, or hop/switch from one to another. All democracy.
