Croatia have been excellent. They have been pressing and pushing and France haven't got the time on the ball that they were been expecting.
If I was a fan of Croatia I would be absolutely delighted with how they have started.

Croatia are full of confidence.
Everyone thought that they would be tired and that's why I thought France would start quickly but France are playing into Croatia's hands.
Deschamps surely can't be happy.

Croatia look sharper all around the pitch and they know their roles and responsibilities. N'Golo Kante was dispossessed there a little too easily.

Didier Deschamps does finally step out of the dugout to the edge of the pitch. France have been so bad that they are beeing jeered now by - presumably - neutrals in the ground as they elect to go all the way back to Hugo Lloris from halfway.
Really, really slow and poor start from the favourites.
