What a chance again for England. It's great play from Kane travelling with the ball and then he's really composed. Alli finds Lingard who opens his body up but he completely misses the target. It's so encouraging though seeing how they are getting into these positions.

Big, big call here, AFTER half-time. From that last free-kick, Maguire was holding back Lovren, who went down in the box. The VAR looked at it after the whistle for half-time went, but the alarm eventually goes off!
On first glance that looks like a penalty. Have England got away with one here?

Dennis Wise has been impressed by those opening 45 minutes, but he believes Southgate will be warning his England players against complacency after a nervy end to the half.
He told Sky Sports News: “I think Gareth will be really pleased with that. Rakitic and Modric haven’t been in the game. We have the spare man in midfield with Sterling dropping in.
“At times we’ve dominated it, they’ve had little spells. We just need to be careful with a bit of sloppiness. Walker played a ball back that was a little casual.
“There was a chance Maguire pulled Lovren at a free-kick there in the end but we survived the VAR.”
