Video: Near Empty Coffee Shop at dinner time in Sengkang

I love these sorts of coffee shops lots of space, no need to queue plus service is usually quick.

Me too. I hate to Q and wait especially when hungry.

But practical problems:

  • Business too bad they will soon be closed shop, already seen 12~15 such cases, one at 279 Sengkang East Ave #01-05, Singapore 540279, already pulled down roller shutter for 4 last months. All renovation / modification / exterior fixture & furnitures dismantled and shop handed over back to HDB

  • Stalls unoccupied (not rented out) and lack of choices, commonly these days 2~3 stalls unoccupied in a coffee shop.
  • Poor business usually also means food not as fresh, kept on shelf longer time, not so nice, not so safe (may Lao Sai)
Good things about them:
  • No Queue
  • Quiet & Clean
  • Lots of good seats
  • Lots of car park spaces usually

and it's way cleaner than when too many sinkies are around. sinkies are by nature filthy and inconsiderate. they just leave their crap and mess on tables and floor.

They need to introduce new beer "aunties".

Singkieland is booming..how can coffeeshop no biz? Is it the food is crap? Or sengkang is a shithole estate where the population has left?

One look I know what’s wrong. They don’t sell spicy vegetarian food under $3!
