You`re talking about people. There are ALWAYS consequences. They write in to college to complain. I will have to explain.
Easier to just bite the tongue and let them go first. Later then I will call them to say, maybe it is better if you find another family doctor. No point you unhappy I unhappy all unhappy. Lots of family doctors out there.But I am still here for you. But no harm you go try other doctors and shop around. This type easier to explain to college. Otherwise have to give all kinds of reasons and justifications and evidence as to why throw out, or terminate from my practice etc.
Oh well. Customer service is like that lah. I was telling my relative who is top millionaire insurance agent that any job where you need to service more than 1 person per hour is probably too little time and client will always be somewhat pissed they couldnt spend as much time as they wanted with you.

Many years ago, there was trend where builders convinced bricklayers, plumbers, tilers etc in the first World to start their own company and be self employed. Its now the norm in some countries. Despite being self-employed they still had to plead, suck up, and work harder to get the job / contract to get the income.
I have yet to see a business owner or self employed individual that does not have to suck up, cajole, crack self deprecating jokes etc to get business.
The exceptions are self funded retirees, trust account beneficiaries and the mentally ill who have no idea what is going on.

My plumber is self employed. I have to go down on my knees to get him to pop by whenever I have a plumbing problem. If he does not turn up at the appointed time I dare not fuck him for being tardy because if I get another plumber he may be even worse.
All his customers bend over backwards in order to keep him happy. We are terrified that he may strike one of us off his "approved customer" list.
Sounds about right to me
Never heard of any kid that aspires to be a prostitute or a plumber and both are self employed. And both can set their terms and decide who they want to service. I can imagine the joy when they both achieved their life long dream.

my carpet cleaner medi from persia is the best in the area. he is an ex fighter pilot and aeronautics engineer who escaped to u.s. during the purge of the shah, worked as a mechanical engineer before starting his own business in carpet cleaning. he invented a super powerful suction pump using his aircraft engine background, built his own and customized it for his van. a couple of corporate carpet cleaning firms tried to steal his tech, even sent spies as his apprentice, and finally offered money to buy it outright. he refused and is now making more licensing his super duper pump tech, occasionally moonlighting for fun as a carpet cleaner. he chooses his customers. and i'm so lucky he chose me, as my old carpet in one of my homes near his reeked with puppy's stains, including urine. he wanted to prove that he could make my carpet great again, and so he did. suck the bejesus out of the floor. thank you medi!
