As long as it runs winshit it's crap.
many companies don’t want to migrate to windoze 10.Can't help it....I was on the train one day, this Indian from India, was working on his laptop next to me, I noticed it was running Windows 7. I asked him, Windows 7?, Microshit had stopped supporting this version, he told me, can't help it, company still using this.
Microshit windozed on tablets , laptops etc..run a crippled version of Windozed 10, you can only use programs that is from Microshit Store & not any stand alone applications. To use a full version of 10, you have to PAY.
I have walked away from Microshit 15 years ago after going from the first version of DOS 1.0 to Windozed 7....on servers, PC's & laptops, too much nonsense from the OS, I switched to Mac & never looked back.
The importance of OS should not underestimated. It’s the bedrock of all devices and not the bells and whistles.
People generally assume Apple has all the bell and whistles plus the snobbish and elitist pricing.
Since I switched to Apple, not a single hiccup, malware, hang etc all these years.
Sam in the early years use to go on and on about Apple and I wondered why the hype? Now I know.
Plus go to any coffee joint anywhere in the World, Goa to Waikiki and flip open your MacBook Air with your broadshorts and you wil get a smile, grin or a nod from kids, chics, MILFs etc. Then take a sip of the extra hot Latte and log into SBF and tell the PAP how to run the country.
Speaking of OS, Chromebook runs on a Chrome OS ? WTF is that ?
Another new OS in town ?
Chrome OS is another variant of Linux....
google chromeshit. So if I get a ASUS Chromebook, will I be spared from ALL Microshit stuff ?
Mac user since '98. Never looked back. Too tired to even get into debates about Winshit vs Mac ... just don't know where to start. How do you begin to explain counterpoint to a hip-hop lover?
I had enough of Win OS...even with the best anti-virus software I can buy, I known surf Porn...no sir! but peek!. I don't do bit torrent, down load movies etc...yet, time & time again got hit by viruses.
Hardware...graphic card will fail...etc...win os upgrade muck up the system & one have to trash the HDD buy a new computer or buy a new HDD...Laptop running win os from HP, DELL, ACER, & one more I fgt...after 2 years, the OS muck up, the hardware with each OS Upgrade, drivers fail...the laptop crash...
I had enough, 15 years ago, I went MAC....never looked back.
Wanted something with a larger screen & got a new iMac 27" with an SSD drive & I'm really happy with it. I also use a PC with Win 7 which I put together. Really surprised how good the iMac is. I'm testing Oracles free PC emulation SW Virtualbox on my iMac & so far it runs all the PC software that I use.
The built-in speaker on the iMac is superb. I can play music loud without any problems. Impressed because the iMac is so skinny.
I also have an older iPad Air & I am finding more uses for it. Maybank & TDamerica have apps that allow you to do trading. In future I'll be relying more on this platform for trading.
I still have my old Macbook, It has an i7 processor & it's powerful enough. I'll keep it around as a backup.
I also have an iPhone 8 & the only reason I got it was to run programs like WhatsApp, line & WeChat.
The 1st Apple products I've owned was the Mac CI, Mac SE & ImageWriter way back in the 80's. Back then I was poor & Apple products cost a premium. However nowadays Apple prices are more affordable & don't really cost an arm and a leg. In the long run Apple products are a better deal than the competition.
The i7 processor in the MacBook is truly the end game - power.
for auto backup, i recommend the 3tb or 4tb time capsule from apple. eventually your ssd will run out of room if you store many video files. you’ll need additional icloud storage (not free) but for faster backup the time capsule is a godsend. it is also a wi-fi base station.Currently don't need the power of an i7 processor. However I plan to keep the iMac for many years & that's why I spent extra $ on future proofing on a machine with an SSD & an i7 processor.
