A man who held up a sign outside Raffles Place MRT station on Tuesday (4 July) calling for Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to resign has been arrested.

According to social media posts, the sign made a reference to the “Terrex conspiracy”. Several netizens speculated that the man was a foreigner. A video of the incident was posted by Facebook user Gilbert Goh.

In response to a query from Yahoo Singapore, the police said that on 4 July 2017, at 12.53pm, they were alerted to an incident outside the train station. A 41-year-old man was arrested under the Public Order Act. Police investigations are ongoing.
