Did the SPF duty officer at the Ops Room consider activating the entire Special Ops squad that is on standby, and phone the MINDEF Ops Room to activate the SAF's Special Ops Task Force and the Commando platoon which are on standby and move them to Little India (to hold and secure), and if need be activate the infantry Coy (plus the supporting Armour unit) and ask them to be ready to move out within an hour.

Did the Commissioner or the DC (acting in his place, since Ng Joo Hee was on vacation), and the Honourable Minister, consider sending two Apache helicopters to Little India?

With all the modern weapons and assets, we should make full use of them.
Regardless whether or not the consequences may be that those foreign governments may decide to ask all their citizens (foreign workers in Singapore) to return home.

Buying breakfast for policemen who ran away and allowed public property to be destroyed - speaks volumes about their lack of understanding public sentiment

they don't need to understand and seek public sentiment when they enjoy a superb soixante neuf relationship with voters.

This is a period of great strife and cultural revolution to be commemorated by great songs of roots reggae......oh wait sinkies werent involved in this, they were too busy engorging their faces at ding tai feng and tim ho wan.

The codeword is CSJ.All hell will break loose. All ang-chias and SOC units and all patrol cars and recall mobilization will be activated.LHL is so scared in his bunker shivering and shaking and vomiting and mumbling where's papa.

The fact that SPF officers ran away from trouble makers and hid in an ambulance is a SPF's "Day of Shame"

The fact that TCH and LHL saw it fit to honour these cowards is an PAP's "Day of Shame"

The pap is living on past glories built by LKY. Such glories are eroding fast under LHL

Yes, SPF and PAP uses law to intimidate Singaporeans. Why didnt SPF and PAP stand up against india indian rioters and allowed them to destroy public properties?

Why did SPF have to do this?

does not matter whether it was activated or not. The COI defended their absence by saying that they were stuck in very bad traffic.

Its called bureaucratic paralysis. The COI determined that there were so many layers of bureaucracy. So many chiak liao bee supervisors reporting to supervisors. The whole system bogged down when they cannot locate the people higher up in the chain that was in charged. and no one in the lower rungs of the chain had the balls to take responsibility and deal with the situation immediately.

Bureaucratic paralysis can be solved by reorganising the SPF structure and SOPs. But what is shameful is the mind set of pap and the SPF. When the Police Officers have no shame but run away when danger lurks, that's a problem that's hard to rectify. When the Minister and PM honour Police Officers forgot their oath of office to maintain law and order but ran away from disorder, it is a 'Day of Shame' for the pap

we are not talking abt the reinforcement force, we are talking abt the officers on the scene who ran away

Dangerous to get the military involved because some ambitious person(s) might get the idea to replace the PAP

There is a role for the military to play in internal security if the Home Team cant handle a situation
