Do you consider someone who show empathy to others has some form of intelligence?

This highly regarded ability is God-sent and found in most developed countries with cultural heritage of Christian background. It's very automatically expressed without hinting or asking from the person.

But if you go NYC, people have no time for this.

Somehow this quality cannot be found in highly populated cities like SGP?

Do you consider such person as intelligent people?

Like EQ?

Why some people lacked such intelligence?

For example, when someone sees a pregnant woman/ old folks in MRT trains, people can't be bothered to give up seat for her/ them.

Another example, drivers don't give way to one another, instead they quarrel about it when they are being corrected verbally?

Or we just have poor social skills?

Then there's another class of people who expressed with disgust in lifts when you just came from the beach?

When a person see a meat on a plate, he will not eat it as he knows that it comes from the inhumane slaughtering of the poor animals. His intelligence shouted at him at that.

It's our stupid education system and national service !

Best national service skill is Siam !

That makes people kiasu, kiasi and kiamalu.

All for themselves.

Quite the contrary. Singaporeans who are socially gracious are unintelligent.

Your graciousness will unlikely to be reciprocated or appreciated.

People who take photos of passengers not giving up seats are retarded.

People who take photos of passengers eating in the trains are marvellously stupid. The CEO of SMRT was purposely recruited because of her retail background. Would she ban passengers from eating and incur the wrath of the retail tenants selling food?

Finally, it's truly low EQ to be gracious when the foreign residents are taking advantage of you and despise you for being such an uncompetitive fool. Singaporeans got hit by a tsunami and are still clueless.

Is there a relationship between intelligence and the needs to be appreciated or reciprocated?

It simply addressed the original question regarding EQ?
