dear bros, what do you do if you need to recover data from a hard disk with bad sectors or a formatted one? what kind of software do you use? and how do you charge for data recovery. i am doing this for survey as my job scope requires me to restore data, sometimes. please feel free to add-on and any you think is useful. i am hungry for knowledge. many thxs!

there are softwares that can do it but i just want to be extra sure that i am using the good software to recover data.

The mechanical parts are precision engineered once bent or deformed nothing can be saved.

Some are destroyed by high static charges during repair. Once shorted the chips burn or fused blow.

but the data are written on cdrom like medium, can't we extract that and find ways to read it?

if you look at the platter, it looks like a cdrom or dvdrom kind of medium, can't we just take that out to recover data?
