"Electric bicycles have been banned from footpaths while Personal Mobility Devices (PMDs) like skateboards, kick-scooters, e-scooters and hoverboards cannot be used on roads after legislation was passed in Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 10).

When cycling on the road, a maximum of two cyclists abreast will be allowed on all roads with at least two lanes in that direction, except those with bus lanes during bus lane operational hours. At night, bicycles and PMDs must turn on a white light in front and a red light at the back."

They must be scared after watching someone ride escooter on the road at 60kmh.Don't need mrt don't need coe.got escooter can travel.

Singapore is such a small country,people should be riding ebike and escooter not paying 100k for coe.Can travel to hawker or supermarket or shopping center without bus train or driving or walking.

They didn't ban the PMDs. PMDs are still allowed to terrorize the footpaths and cycling paths and continue to pose danger to pedestrians.

PMDs are only banned from riding on the vehicular roads to save the riders.

Hosay liao ! Now that the legislation is clear, limpeh going to buy PMDs and zoom zoom along footpaths.
