Months after having his items seized at Customs. a Singaporean man gets his home raided by the police. Many months after the raid, this Singaporean man continues to live in fear everyday because he has no idea when, if ever, the police will charge him for possession of the items sized during the raid.

There has to be a search warrant to raid your home and there must be compelling reasons for the police to get a search warrant.

You watched too many hk and Hollywood movies.....not how it works in Sg.
When even NEA guys can knock down your door and enter your home.....you think pap thugs need warrant to enter your house?

Most commonwealth countries and those with French and Belgian colonial past do not require search warrants for the majority of crimes. That's means most of the World. However even for movies in these countries search warrants, badges etc are part of paraphenelia to meet expectations. Even today we got lawyers who think building passes are warrants.

Narong is right about this. In sinkieland it is different. Anyone can land in jail and robbed off their hard earnings. My advice is do not mess with pappy law. Personal experience.

In sg, dont talk about human rights.
pAp is the lawmaker and they are above the law.
Warrant? Hdb is state owned property, u rent a pigeon hole from landlord and they need to show u warrant? Hahaa where have you been?:D

During the days when radio and TV license was payable, even mda has the authority to conduct home raid for TV :*:

Since it is your home, you can set up booby traps to injure intruders (which include pigs who come in to seize items). Keeping a fierce dog is one, another thing you could do is make those spring traps like Vietcong did to Yankee marines when they lift things/flip pages, make something sharp fling out at the operator, right into his eyes! Hide venomous scorpions in places where they put in their fingers to feel for things! They get stung, that's the idea! Be devious in your ways to protect your home! It is yours!

Cheers!

You are not in trouble because you vape. You are in trouble because you should have smoked cigarettes and paid taxes to the pap

Vaping is like the DVD player of old. If you crackdown on DVD player sales, you can cut down on enforcement costs for catching illegal DVDs and porno vendors. Who knows what sort of substance abuse vaping could lead to? I applaud the PAP for addressing the problem by nipping it in the bud.
