It is pure madness to pay the CEO and all the senior staff sky high salaries for sitting in the ivory tower and then tried to save pennies by doing away with armed guard at their local branch which surely would put the customers and junior counter staff at risk of serious injuries or even death during any armed robbery.

It was just fortunate that the ang moh scumbag did not cause hurt to anyone at the branch during the robbery. What if he had a gun or a knife and there was no armed guard to eliminate him?

This robbery also showed the SCB did not put their counter staff through any kind of security drill. A note shown and the ang moh scumbag was given money? It looks like a joke.
