Almond Breeze Is Being Sued, And The Reason Why Will Gross You Out

Mar 25, 2016

Almond Breeze has been one of the various “alternate” kinds of milk that consumers can purchase at the store for their dietary needs. However, this beverage has been proven to actually have no actual almonds in the product at all.

Instead, Almond Breeze’s UK website had just disclosed on the fact that each carton of their almond milk actually contains only 2% of real almonds, which essentially means that consumers are unsuspectingly paying for $3-$5 for 32 fluid ounces. This can be seen with the experienced eye of do-it-yourselfer’s who create their own almond milk from scratch, they would find that it requires much more than just 2% of almonds to produce just one cup of almond milk, considering they use 100% almonds in theirs.

However, even with Almond Breeze thinking that they were being sly and quick witted, they are now being sued for their false advertising. To be even more specific, “deceiving customers into thinking that they’re buying a product that is made from almonds,” which is what was reported on the lawsuit by Time.

Too which Almond Breeze had replied by stating: “The primary ingredient in nearly all popular beverages including coffee, tea, soda, juice and sports drinks is water. Cow’s milk is 85% to 95% water and the same can be said for most soy and almond milks which is why our brand is not alone in responding to recent claims.”

This story is good reminder for smart Alec who think they are drinking almond milk when they are drinking water.
