Why Some Indians have no Indian Name but they Special Tamil and Hindi

good morning.

please allow me to ask this type of Chootchiew question.

I notice that there are many indians that do not have Indian name or indian family name.

However, they are dark skin and they speak tamil and hindu or bengali or urdu.

why? can u please tell me

Some possible reasons:-

1. They converted to Christianity and took on Christian names.

2. One of their maternal ancestors married a Mat Salleh and they took on western names and surnames.

3. During primary school, they had to fight with lots of other boys who called them Pundeks! So they decided to stop using their keling names.

They had to eat mama's cooking, or was given a chance to work at Uncle Muthus's Prata shop so they still retained and spoke their mother tongue.
