NTUC: Banking PMEs must upskill as more layoffs loom

banking professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) must be prepared for uncertainties.

"In particular, I worry for Singaporeans working in foreign banks as many of the decisions are made at the global HQ. We have seen hints with the challenges faced by several large global and regional banks and also several going on wage freezes locally," he added.

What exactly is a banker ? Are they investments managers ?
Or banker means a employee with shares with the bank ?
Is a eg senior hr manager with corporate title vp consider a banker ?
Why I ask is I know quite many senior employee working in banks call themselves as banker, even they belongs to the non profit entity.

Lol. Piom need to know and wait for the "banker" to become cleaner and taxi driver lo

Don't laugh, bro. They might not end up as cleaner or taxi driver. They might go after your Tua Pek Kong job. With competition, your salary will drop to $1,500 ... just enough to buy a Chanel wallet.
