Starting off his speech, PAP’s party whip assured that he valued the role of NCMPs as much as elected MPs, saying that “if any PAP MPs call WP NCMPs second class citizens, I will put them in their place as party whip”.

He reminded the house that all MPs are voted into Parliament, including NCMPs. Responding to criticisms that the proposed changes to the NCMP scheme is based on the self-interest of the PAP, Mr Chan Chun Sing said that “our priority is longevity of Singapore, not longevity of PAP.” He said that the PAP supports filling the third NCMP seat but found the political manoeuvring behind the motion troubling.

NCMP are voted into parliament? And candidates that lost in an election and do not take up the NCMP position misplaced the trust of voters?

Kee Chiu will sing a different tune the next time if Dr Chee and Kenneth Jeya are roped into Parliament via NCMP scheme. With WP, Kee Chiu can come up with an entire House of NCMPs for WP and still have enough spares to display graciousness in victory.

With WP, you can be sure that there will be NO hard questions asked. You can be dead sure that hard questions will NOT be asked.

Preparing the ground for people to be "elected " without majority votes-there is already one up there with only 30% of the votes.
