WTF: This is how indonesia train their soldiers. Scary or not?

Doesn't look like the shooters adhere to high safety standards. They simply shoot. I am sure there were accidents previously.
Those on the ground know very well they won't be shot unless accidental. I think this training is not safe. And accidents cost money and lives.

What good does it do for the country and army if the trainee got killed in such unsafe training procedure?

A soldier is good only when he can fight in a war and not being dead before training finishes. Can't believe that we have dumb fucks in here thinking that this is any good.

indons train so much.. in the end also carry backpack for us

Yeah, agreed. they are not really aiming the AKs at all, firing off the hip is more like it. Extremely dangerous given the inaccuracy of the AK-47. This is on par with US Army or is it USMC infiltration training where the soldier crawls under the barb wire and they fire live rounds about the head of the soldier and blow up dynamite close to them to simulate battlefield conditions. SAF already has many deaths without all these realistic live firing training.

Not easy to kill a soldier. Maybe injure or cripple. But live firing accidents and death happen all the time in every army. Including the SAF. I would venture to say that the Indonesian army has the same numbers or less training casualties then the SAF. By simple fact that we have almost 500,000 men under arms in the Reservist and regular Army versus about 300,000 in the Indonesian army. More importantly, unlike many armed forces around the world (Including the Indonesians) we have no budget restrictions when it comes to training with live rounds. Many poorer armies simply restrict the live firing to a specified number of rounds, whereas the SAF is almost in a free fire mode at the range. More soldiers, especially many of whom are part time reservist plus almost free flowing amounts of ammo equals high accident rates.

I got to point out that most of us grunt use the crappy ammo made by ST kinetics. Some elite units get to shoot with imported ammo!

They used to have that in OCS....though without the dynamite....IMHO that's much safer.

No respect for human rights!

What happens if he makes mistake?

Oops! Sorry! It was an accident!
