Cool, but this sort of defeat the purpose of space exploration. We are supposed to land on somewhere else other than Earth.

i think the big deal is if u have been following elon musk, man has launched many rockets since the 1950s to space delivering payloads or space shuttles but the rockets are jettisoned after flight and never recovered, making them one use only and very expensive.

elon musk has successfully launched a rocket to outer space and reentering the atmosphere, and maneuvering it to land back safely on the launchpad, making it the first rocket in the world with infinite reusability and the cost of launching it limited to the cost of the fuel which is less than 2 percent of the construction of a rocket.these allows hundreds of trips from earth to space using the same rocket and the first step to human space travel.

....hundreds of trips...????

When they go out in space and then re-enter the atmosphere, the pressures being subjected on the rocket are tremendous, wearing out the joints, nuts, bolts and body of the rocket. Just a few trips to and fro they will break up under pressures. See how they are going to profit from this?? The insurance claims will bankrupt the rocket company...:(

as long as the g forces are kept within operational limits and not stressed too much outside its limits, the aircraft or spacecraft should not experience too much structural damage.fighter jets routinely go up to as high as 12 g's but they do not break up in the air.

the space shuttle only experience a maximum of 3g during launch and reentry and it has survived multiple trips,im pretty sure elon musk has it under control.

Hundreds of trips on the same vehicle to space and back is not impossible but a little too far fetched. It's like an airplane, something's gonna give somewhere. Coupled that with economic pressure and a high operational tempo, you know corners are going to be cut somewhere. I do not know engineering but i know humans, we compromise and ignore the right thing to do when it suits us.

This is a Hollywood production. A hoax. Check it out... carefully.

That is so true. Elon Musks is a visionary and he hopes to change the way humans live. The United States is a great nation because of individuals like him.

Cheers!

leave it to gov, they will burst the budget by three times and accomplish nothing and proudly proclaim they would do it again if they could.
