With normal expenses, 9 months.
More frugal, 12 months......
After that, all hell break lose.......

if my monthly expense is sgd969, i have at least 69 years to go. that's just good old cash excluding interest earned on investments, stocks, savings, equity appreciation on real estate, real estate, annuities, retirement fund appreciation, social security, rental income, life insurance maturity and cash out, etc. plan early, better at the moment when your parents give you the first dollar. ;)

if get laidoff, probably will retire...at 36

Looks like retrenchment is not in the dictionary for all the bros in sbf ;)

Good planning, bro !

My worry is not how long my savings can last... but how long my mind can remain sane without having something to do ?

if you're in san jose, i would highly recommend spending much of the day at tylan café. and check out my thread on "cleavage café" in the emigration folder. :D

if thats the case its almost like u have never worked in ur life before, like ur a twenty something just starting out in life and just entered the workforce.if thats the case its better to just end it once and for all and take the 9 to 12 months living to the MBS casino.remember to leave behind a insurance policy or two as a legacy.

What happens if you kick the bucket tomorrow? Is the unpleasant journey worth it?

Sori forgot to mention frugal. I need to consider being frugal for the rest of my.life thats why I'm still working In a job which I hated.

rich wow....no wonder can afford 1.6k string bag for girl.

At my current spending level, my family and I can last about 30 years on our savings. If we live a bit more frugally, travel only to ASEAN or cheap Asian destinations, we probably can easily last a lifetime.

When you are a newbie at work, make good financial plans. Hook up either with a girl who is far richer than you, or a girl who shares your dreams and aspirations. Shag the gold-diggers and dump them. You won't have much of a retirement plan if you spend more than you earn, especially on big-ticket items like housing, wedding and car. Get multiple streams of income too.

It's so simple, but yet so many sinkies are that dumb.
