Just how difficult is it to build passive income to a level of $2,000 ? Your 3-room HDB flat can easily fetch $2,000 per month. You can easily buy one when you are 35. If you can get a 4-room, your passive income will be even higher. So what's the problem ?

In my opinion, if you are in your working age e.g. 20 + then you are better off migrating.

In Spore you have to waste your time doing reservist & even risk dying in the SAF. If you migrate you will be enjoying the lifestyle & pay.
In Spore the PAP will be busy robbing you of your youth & $ . Look at what is going on with OUR CPF

As a Sporean you are also competing with every Tom, Dick & Harry that the PAP allows into the country.

When I see my friends who have left Spore, I can see a marked difference. They smile more, look fitter & look less haggard than those who are in Spore. Many of the Sporeans are grim faced, balding or have white hairs

When you are older & retired, AND have plenty of $$$ the best place is actually in places like Thailand because life is good there.
If you are older & can't retire, then you are better off in a 1st world nation because you can work & receive all kinds of benefits like health care, minimum wage, subsidies,.. In the 1st world they treat seniors with respect. Can't say the same thing in Spore.

In my twenties,currently have only about 30k capital.20k in equities mostly investment grade and high yield bond etfs.average about 5 to 6 percent interest per year.10k in aud and sgd,going to aussie backpacking next month.

After ge 2015 im stepping up my investment plan,trying to save $300 to $400 a week,build up passive,going to buy s reits,dividend blue chips,maybe work two jobs,cant stand this bullshit country no more.
