From nearly FIVE years ago, in 2010:

History of sam's alfresco forum -- delphi to vbulletin
The only possible thing that sets me apart from other forummers is that I'm possibly the only one who has seen Sam in person. A chance meeting may I add.
Thanks sam. Didn't know you were so famous.

Do you sometimes feel tempted to reveal your real identity? Being the egoistical person that you are, it must be eating you up.
If he reveals his real identity, 99% of the forummers here will probably say "Huh? Who?"
The other 1 % may say "Hey! He's my primary / secondary school / platoon mate!"
In any case, his real identity is probably Sam Leong.
I wonder if this is STILL true! :D

I might have seen the real one ...

This is the real Sam Leong, where the road is named after him. You might have seen him last month, when he was out for his annual R & R session together with Ah Gong and Gecko.

Actually, Sam Leong looks a little like Bobby Au Yeong.

they should get married!

so who is leongsam?
Probably the same, one and only, Samuel Leong, who was a commissioned officer in the SAF sometime during the 1970s:

Was in SAFTI when he was commandant. He was usually stone drunk in the officers' mess by 8 pm.

SAFTI functioned efficiently during his reign because of the ruthlessness of his deputy LTC Edward Chan.
I did more extra duties as a 2LT under Edward Chan than I did as a Cadet in OCS. Edward Chan had a simple formula... he went after the OIC for any disciplinary issues he found with the rank-and-file under his charge.

For example if one of my men was caught with long hair, dirty boots etc during guard mounting, I'd be the one to face the music the next day.

No wonder he's pro-PAP... or at least sometimes pro-PAP. :p
