KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 — The police should keep their focus on addressing the rising crime in the country instead of investigating those who participated in the Bersih 4 rally last weekend, Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali said today.

Azmin who is also PKR deputy president added that the police were wasting the people’s time and money by investigating peaceful rallies, The Malaysian Insider reported.

“The people pay taxes to the government so that the government and the police take care of their interests and safety. The people’s money should not be used for the political interest of any quarters,” Azmin was quoted saying.

“The police have to focus on the rising crime and not pressure those who gathered peacefully, and in accordance with the constitution.” The police have called up seven individuals from electoral reform group Bersih 2.0 which organised the August 29 and 30 rally to its federal headquarters in Bukit Aman for questioning.

Those called up for questioning included chairman Maria Chin Abdullah and six others and they were investigated under Section 124C of the Penal Code, which deals with attempts to commit an activity detrimental to parliamentary democracy.

i was at both rallies and these fuckers were more apparent in queenstown as the crowd was smaller there. one mofo was walking around with hands behind his back in the middle macham big timer inspecting his troops and even took photo of the guy holding the with miniature flags.
one tent at centre of the stadium near the monsoon drain carpark had four cams, and the other one near the stage was higher with vantage view and cams pointed at the crowd. now no need to record speeches surreptitiously as all speeches are recorded for playback and future recrimination.
the other plainclothed poodles were a dead giveaway with their pouches, just doing their pitiful jobs for their pappie masters but many may vote oppo.

I believe members of the ISD today are different from their counterparts decades back. During the 80s, 90s if you were anti-pap, you were deemed as a trouble-maker. Thanks to LKY and his paranoia of losing power. Social media was non-existence and all we got was the MSM. Today, LKY is gone and social media and online video streaming are pervasive. Thus, members of the ISD must surely be exposed to a more balanced reality. They have to do their job, but at the same time, I have the confidence that they feel like what most of feel.
