So, MND minister ordered IRAS to provide confidential financial info of a company to him? On what grounds could he do that?

What is there to stop a PAP minister to get such information to help a friend?

Thanks to the minister though, SGs can now request for the P&Ls of the PAP's
managing agents. They have said that we are to judge them by the same standard
by which we judge the opposition.

Ministars, in their investment research, can ask IRAS for financial info of companies. Now, you know why ministars are so rich ...IRAS provides them info.

Maybe you can go search & find out if a minister can issue an order under certain section, sub section..chapter..whataver that he can issue to IRAS for information??

If we have worked in the financial industries, one would know, that in order to ask for information of certain people of their financial status...an official letter..stating this section or that....& that request, would normally be given to legal department for vetting & certain people have to sign & endorse the request..before it is given.

Did they LEEgally obtain the information??:p

Little Bird says it Khaw screwed up on this one. He didn't realized the implications. Now, the PAP has a few fires to put out if sinkees make a big deal of this abuse of confidential information.

Yeah totally agree. He is just a fake Buddhist devoid of any compassion and sense of fair play. He thought he was being clever in timing his expose but it is surely going to backfire on his beloved PAP in this election! Don't think he understands the heart sutras even if he chants it.
