He went to a government-operated hospital and they gave him sub-standard care resulting in his loss of limbs. There is a bigger problem than just giving him artifical limbs. There needs to be accountabiity. Who are the doctors? From India? Why did the doctors give him drugs that had such harsh side effects?
If this happened in US, there will be loads of lawyers offering their services to sue. But this is sinkapore where there is no accountability.

What caused the food poisoning? Is the direction of blood flow necessary. Was this the only choice or the best one. Was the patient monitored closely for side effects. Was the medication calibrated and adjusted when it was found to be too strong.

I am not medical trained, so I don't know if he really needed the medication for his symptons. But it has strong side effects and an enquiry needs to be looked into seeing if the correct diagnosis was given, and if adjustments can be made so that such cases have lower chances of happening in the future. For this has a strong impact on people's lives.
