Many years ago I remember reading about a Sporean being shot in a struggle with a policeman. He claimed that he didn't know that it was a policeman as the guy was in civilian clothes & was speaking in thai. When the guy shouted at him in thai & tried to detain him a struggle started & he was shot.

They shot Mr Jang at close range with modified shotguns then escaped. They did not take anything.
Mr Jang was declared dead on arrival at Paranaque District Hospital.
The motive for the attack is unknown and the attackers are still at large, Chief Inspector Arnold Dugas of the Paranaque police said previously.
