No matter how good a gloss they place over things, the current PAPzi government has lost its moral bearings. Things may not fall apart now, or tomorrow, but if they are not checked, they will go the way of the Duvaliers in Haiti, Marco in the Philippines and numerous Chinese dynasties that came before.

Worst of all, we go down with them.

So, the unlikely possibility of disparate now opposition parties may be inconvenient, but in the middle term, that is more stable for Singapore.

We deserve better from the Opp. Fcuk them! Don't waste our time. Just join WP or merge to form one single party to take on PAP. The 40% or more want this, deserves this. Any jokers that wants to separate or splinter off ought to be condemned. This is the only way to get change otherwise this can go on for another 50 to 100 years and PAP will still be in power.

There is no need for opposition unity. That term is touted by Chee Soon Juan and his ilk to cut down WP and hamper its progress.

He's not the only one. Except WP, opposition parties / leaders regularly straddle between unity and democracy (free-to-contest-anywhere) depending on the situation. The difference is how fast they change, how often they straddle or how they broach their statements when on either side of the fence.

The WP ruled out uniting the opposition, but is the only party that is consistent on this subject matter.

Sorry not many will share this overly negative view. Many will vote for WP but not enough. If we have a more unified Opp more seats will fall. So the ball is in Opp court to do the right thing. It's really that simple!
