STOMPer DT was touched to learn about a man who offered $100 for this huge stingray, which took three hours to reel in, to be released back into the sea at East Coast Park on Apr 23.
The man had initially made an offer of
$80 but was rejected.Said the STOMPer:"This happened yesterday night (Apr 23) at around 11pm.
"I was cycling at the East Coast beach and saw this guy who had just caught a huge stingray.A small crowd soon gathered around taking pictures and admiring the beautiful fish.
"I heard it took him almost three hours to reel in this monster."Just when I was about to leave, a man in his 60s offered the guy $80 for the fish but he declined.
"At first I thought this man wanted to buy this live fish for himself."To my surprise, he counter-offered the guy $100 and asked for the fish to be released back to the sea, which I am glad they did.
"I am truly touched by this man's gesture of goodwill. Kudos!!!!"
