SINGAPORE - A Malaysian man was arrested at the Woodland Checkpoint on Saturday morning, after he was found carrying some 2kg of cannabis.

The 22-year-old had strapped the drugs to the front and back of his body, and was caught during a routine check by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

The drugs have an estimated street value of more than $66,000, said the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and ICA in a joint statement.

Under the Misuse of Drugs Act, those convicted of importing more than 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty. Investigations are ongoing, said the CNB and ICA.

" The drugs have an estimated street value of more than $66,000 "

Cost price per kg is about $1500
sold on the street to end user is $500 per 50gram .

Now do the maths ;)

Hang the mother-farker! Drugs are bad!

I understand they reuse the ropes; so, there probably won't be a significant jump in turnover for the rope business.

Rope suppliers here have no shortage of business.
