In a matured democracy, It took 300 years and a Ultra safe seat for a minority Chinese to be elected.

This is why we have GRC to ensure we do not vote along racial lines and minority's representation in Parliament

There were Indian and Black MPs in the UK years ago. By the way, the UK is a white country. They do not need to have minorities in parliament. Anyone who wants to migrate there should follow the British way of life. A white MP should be able to represent them just as an an MP of any colour could.

That being said, the GRC thing wasn't introduced to ensure minorities primarily. It was designed to ensure unappealing candidates a sure track into parliament. Now the track is less sure, they need another way.

The US has no GRC, and yet they can elect a black President. Singapore with GRC will never elect a Malay prime Minister or an Indian prime minister. Never, u understand? GRC means shit.

All PAP candidates are capable and appealing. Today, nobody doubts the ability of the generals Tan Chuan Jin and Chan Chun Sing to anchor a GRC on their own. Hardly anyone thinks they are incompetent.

It proves the UK system rocks. Too many minorities spoilt the broth.

malay froth their mouth saying the same thing to immigrant races. But they still insist in using their own languages and culture.

UK MPs work harder and travel longer distances than PAP MPs.

And a 20-year old undergrad girl win on her own merit in a contest.

PAP's 20+ girl rode on a coat-tail into parliament, then got pregnant after looking (believe cannot find culprit) litterbug of soiled pad!

Dear Zeroo,

There were minority races before this guy. Keith Vaz, Chuka H, etc

If the Conservatives set up a strong grassroots network through the People's Association, do a lot of groundwork in both their own territory and opposition territory through the CCC and grassroots, and hook up with the biggest labour unions, the opposition will have no chance of winning back power. Tripartism Singapore style will ensure a strong party will govern for the next 10 consecutive GEs.
