Ma'am, the charge has NOT been dropped; it has been stood down, meaning that they will not proceed with it for the time being. There may be several reasons but I think it is because they want to proceed with the charges with less resistance, so that if they succeed, they can pull the LKY charge out and proceed against a weakened (financially and emotionally) enemy.
