Hi,

Is it corruption,

.. when the Condo Manager introduces tenant to Unit owner ?

..When Developer Sales Staff buys flat,..and then flips for personal profit ?

And when unable to flip, staff resigns, defaults on loans & dissapears ?

Has anyone experienced the Malaysian-style of corruption, in the property sector ?

Inspite of the proximity , both Singapore & Malaysia is very, very different.

There's a big difference in corruption perception in every individual, regardless of where you live and who you are. Corruption does not mean just money, it can be benefits in kind, abuse of power, sexual or even free trips overseas. Even purposely losing bets in golf amounts to corruption. If you are caught by authorities, it is corruption. Otherwise, it is norms of the industry. And it happen to every country.

Condo manager introduce tenant to unit owner, what's wrong with that. Even if he receive commission, it is between 2 willing parties. Nothing illegal.
Anyone can buy and flip. If he defaults and disappear, he become bankrupt. It is purely a commercial matter. Where's the corruption element?
