NEW DELHI/JOHANNESBURG: The government on Friday announced a five-day state mourning as a mark of respect to Nelson Mandela.

A decision to this effect was taken at a special meeting of the Union Cabinet, which condoled the death of the anti-apartheid icon.

"Mandela was the tallest leader of not only his generation but possibly this entire paradigm. The role that he personally played in dismantling the apartheid is something exemplary," information and broadcasting minister Manish Tewari said after the meeting.....

He did some good. He did some bad. He destroyed those whose only "sin" was to oppose him. He did it as though they had had no father, mother, wife or children to suffer and feel the pain of what he did to their husband or father.

The current intense propaganda by his lapdog media aims to whitewash the bad, his sins. If we allow this, we will have the current and future generation of his lapdogs and minions who will continue to do likewise and think their abuses, bullying and sins can be washed away by intense media bombardment and relentless in-your-face propaganda after their deaths.

Spore needs more tourist attractions.

They should delay the funeral for a few months or years & make LKY some kind of tourist attraction. Turn the Istana into a museum & the grounds into a park. They can sell LKY memoribilia e.g. T-shirts with LKY's face with "I Luv LKY", "I'll Sue You", "LKY Forever", "Hard Truths".... etc

Sell DVDs of the LKY story, books of his fishing village stories. They can re-hash all the multimedia material that our stations already have invested time & $$$.
