in angmo countries i hardly change coolant...still full tank for 10 years now!

COOLANT will help to increase the boiling point and reduce chance of condensing, try to have total flush and new coolant every few years

for cold climates where freezing can occur, you'll need a mix of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol (anti-freeze) with distilled water. trace amounts of corrosion inhibitor should be added.

for the tropics like in sg, you don't need anti-freeze, although sinkie bengs and morons will insist sinkies copy angmohs to add glycol to the mix. alternatively, you can add "liquid chill" to the mix to help lower coolant temperatures.

Use coolant that are already pre-mixed. Than you don't have to worry about the mixture. Normally, I just add plain water. U can judge the coolant by looking at the colour of the coolant in the overflow reservoir. If its brownish and dirty, time to change. Other wise, its fine.

just stick to your usual coolant and perform regular purging will do. redline tends to turn the heat up becos the chemical increased the pressure within the radiator and you will need a better radiator cap.

I use clean and pure water in the radiator just in case of breaking down in the middle of Sahara then I still have one source of drinking water
