SINGAPORE: Over 400 residents from Ang Mo Kio GRC and Sengkang West made local history on Sunday (Mar 8) by forming the largest kompang ensemble.

The 425 residents made the Singapore Book of Records, erasing the previous feat achieved in 2014 by 125 Tampines residents.

Guest-of-honour Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also joined in and played the kompang together with the residents, who came from all walks of life.

The event, which also had other stage performances and family activities, was held to celebrate Singaporeans' contributions to the country's success in the last 50 years.

not entirely true.

50% were there for the free transport+nasi lemak.

50% were later mocked by their friends and family for being cheapskate, turning up for the free transport+nasi lemak. it is possible they later repent and see the light, so they may not vote for the white scums.
