it's ironic that skyscraper city (one of the tallest skyscrapers) called the torch in dubai is literally being torched, or on fire.

hope our friend and fellow forummer scroobal and holmesjr, who frequents dubai and stays in one of those skyscrapers, is fine.

that's the problem of going beyond 50 floors and not having a thorough and effective fire prevention and suppression system.

Anyway its amazing that people spend so much money building a tall skyscraper and yet use crap material that burns so quickly. Being in the construction business I know that such spead of fire comes from material use in under develop or some developing countries not places like Dhubai. Someone has to be responsible for this.

This sound like the people running this country..if something serious happened, they never committed HARAKIRI, when our security had been compromised & yet, admonish others over lesser things...."someone has to be responsible" in this Dubai case..will be the people living there..like here the same...
