[h=1]MAN JAILED 15YRS FOR REPEATEDLY RAPING GIRLFRIEND'S 12YR OLD DAUGHTER[/h]

A middle aged man has been sentenced to 15 years in jail for repeatedly raping a 12 year old girl.
The victim was the daughter of his then-girlfriend.
The man had come to know of the victim through her mother. He had first met the girl when she was still just a toddler in 2000. He had helped her mother find a flat to rent here after she moved here when she found a job here.
At that time, the man who is now 50, had been married to another woman.
Shortly after helping the victim's mother find a flat to rent, he started having an affair with her and after that, he moved into their flat with them.
The court heard that the man, the mother and the victim would share the same bed. During the day when the woman went to work, the man would look after her daughter.
The girl called him daddy but she also shared that she was afraid of him because of his temper.
The first time the man made sexual advances on the young girl was in 2009 in the afternoon sometime between March and June. The victim who was then in primary school was alone in the flat with the man. The man then approached her adn touched her intimately despite her wanting him to stop.
That same afternoon, he proceeded to rape her and he assured her that it was ok and it was normal for it to be painful for girls the first time.
A few months later, he raped her again.
The rape was not discovered until 2 years later when the victim complained of having rashes and growths on her private parts.
The nurses asked the girl if she had had sex before and found out about the rape. The victim then lodged a police report and explained that she had not done so earlier because she was afriad she would be beaten
The girl, who is now 18 suffers from nightmares, trust issues and is constantly sad and irritable because of the rape.
