Russel Torralba, 42, and Alfredo Ruiz, 43, admitted inflicting mental suffering on an elder, while a charge of lewd and lascivious behaviour was dismissed.
Two male nurses caught on camera engaging in a sexual act with each other while caring for a stroke victim have admitted inflicting mental suffering on an elder.
Security footage showed Russel Torralba, 42, and Alfredo Ruiz, 43, performing a sex act on each other inside the 98 year-old woman's bedroom.
The nurses both worked for AMS Homecare Solutions in San Diego.
At one point, one of the nurses - both of whom are Filipino - appears to touch the patient's hand while being fondled by the other man.
The two nurses were arrested on suspicion of sexual misconduct in 2011 after non-verbal cues from the patient led her family to alert the authorities.
At a preliminary hearing in 2013, their lawyers argued that the patient was not neglected and may not have been aware of the nurses' actions.
Judge Lorna Alksne accepted their guilty pleas on a felony charge of inflicting mental suffering on an elder, but dismissed one of lewd and lascivious behaviour.
She did, however, describe their actions as "shocking", reports San Diego 6.
