COE prices close mostly lower, with only motorcycle premiums rising

Certificates of entitlement (COE) premiums ended mostly lower in the bidding exercise on Wednesday.

COE prices for Category A cars (1,600cc and below) sees a five-month low as it drops further to $62,002 from $65,001 in the previous bidding.

Premiums for Category B cars (above 1,600cc or 130 bhp) dropped significantly to $70,890 from $76,889.

Prices for open category COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type but are largely used for bigger cars, slides to a three-month low of $71,921 from $76,790.

Commercial vehicles COEs, which include goods vehicles and buses, closed at $52,101, lower than the previous bidding’s $55,012.

Premiums for motorcycles ended at $5,504, higher than the $4,889 close in the last exercise.

Cheah. 2 years back, people are already saying that the COE will drop in 2015/2016.

this means we should time our car purchases with Election time. what a warped place we live in.
