The Europeans, they pay their staffs fairly. The staff when employed will be able to enjoy rent, food plus holidays and some beers. In Asia, they expect the staffs to subsidies the employees by working like slaves.

It is still relevant today. Sinkies are not Swiss or Swedes. So, they should stop yearning for their standard of living. All those comes with the progress of their society. Asiatic societies like ours, along with our Confucio-despotic philosophies, are more comfortable with exploitation, abuse and high Gini coefficient.
