there really is discrimination in australia. just tht maybe this mat engr. is needed for a job that no other whites want to do so he was accepted. i know of an aircraft technician who was retrenched by SIA many years ago, he was selected by qantas to work for them and thus stayed in australia for good. where can you find aircraft technicains on the road? these are rare occupation.

It is worse in Spore.
Sporean engineers will have to compete with cheaper FT. So even if you are employed you will only make Spore's wage rates & you have to constantly worry about being replaced by someone cheaper.
It is harder to replace an Aussie worker because of the rules & regulations. I'm sure there are things like unemployment benefits to help the Aussie worker. Spore workers are on their own.
