And yet they never bother to raise this issue again when they had trouble applying for the permit BEFORE the trade fair started
Yes, they did, to the NEA. NEA ignored. We all read that in news. Haven't you?
Agree with you. NEA came across very badly in this saga.
WP wins massively in the Court of Public Opinion. Big loser is pap.
Best is $800 fine was paid not from AHPETC funds. So residents don't suffer any financial loss in this case
The Court of Public Opinion is worth jack shit. .
LHL disagrees with your statement. He is shivering thinking of the next GE. He shivers because he knows public opinion is against him and the pap. Does that prove to you that Public Opinion matters?
We can't have law breakers running town councils. They should be removed from office immediately.
The Court of Public Opinion is worth jack shit.
The court of public opinion gave 1 GRC and 1 more SMC to a different party as well as kept 1 SMC in the same party's hands despite an embarrassing affair. Unlike you I am sure the PAP knows how important it is.
Yes, yes, yes. That's why LHL knows that Public Opinion is important
The court of public opinion can easily be bribed. $$$ means more to sinkies than democracy.
just to refresh your short memory.... CCS was the strategist-in-chief in the recent PE by-election
i predicated a 2-3% win for the WP... at the end of the day... i also felt "pie seh" for him![]()
sometimes ignorance like his kills the PAP
Actually PAP impending downfall or at least the current slate of problems are caused by inbreeding. Too many por lumpar that hide the real truth from the top. Basically the reaped what they sowed
The Court of Public Opinion is worth jack shit. Many people curse at the PAP daily, but they know that PAP has to carry that cross because of all the tough but necessary decisions that must be made. Over the long term, Singaporeans have learn to give grudging but due credit to the very competent PAP government, which had ensured that Singapore has a credible military defense, budget surplus to take care of itself and a clean public service.
Many people predicted PAP's downfall in GE2011, or that many GRCs would fall into opposition hands. In the end, PAP won convincingly with 60.1% of the valid votes and over 90% of the available GRC seats.
Therein lies the problem. 60.1% holding 90% of the seat. There was also a 10% fall to their lowest ever I believe
You only need anything more than 50%, such as 50.00001% of the valid votes to win 100% of all the seats in the ward. Sinkie voting pattern is rather consistent, and PAP won by a rather consistent 60% plus-minus in nearly all the wards. Seats in Parliament are also not distributed by percentage of votes won. That is clear enough in our election rules. Only the opposition sore losers want to demand for representation in parliament after they have been resoundingly trashed.
