Our Lady Justice - Is it blindfolded.?

I came across this paragraph and wonder if this is true..???

Is our Lady Justice blindfolded..??? Anyone can confirm..???


Even the statue of justice is a woman, a goddess presumably, carrying
a scale balance in one hand but a fearsome sword in the other. [She
wears a blindfold to indicate that she is impartial; but on our City
Hall and Supreme Court Buildings, if I remember right, she is NOT
blindfolded, which is very appropriate; next time you pass by, see if
I am right].

OH.. We are in shit.....The Lady Justice is supposed to be blind-folded..

This means she will see and decide how justice is meted out..and hence over here this explain why some sentencing is lighter than others.
