Of course not you twit, own security guard is so old school, I have direct to security company alarm system, break in and the company receives an alert and once break in confirmed, the guards come. Effective enough.

It's called a monitored alarm you twit. I have one too. If the guard does not respond, do you blame yourself or the security company?

There are security organisations who are supposed to defend the country. They are the ones who should be held responsible.

We cannot expect every private company to have their own security force. That would be ridiculous.

Did you know that SMRT has armed guards patrolling the trains? They usually patrol in gangs of 4 or more. They wear grey berets & blue uniforms.

Maybe they should shift some of these personnel to guard the depot.

MRT's job is to provide a train service. It is not a security organisation.

SAm, you fucked too many sheeps in NZ, your brain has mad cow disease. MRT job is not to provide a train service, its to provide a SAFE train service. When any one can so easily penetrate MRT's depot, that becomes a safety issue. If it was 2 Mat Selamat followers instead of 2 idiot Germans, timed bombs could have easily been hidden on the trains, and timed to blow up the carriages during rush hour.

Absolutely, even govt agencies need Gurkhas to provide security; we should not expect too much from Smrt. Even the spf has out sourced security patrol at little India to Aetos. Therefore, Aetos is solely responsible for failure to control the riot. Those blaming saf are barking up the wrong tree. Aetos should be held accountable.

Where did you get the idea that SMRT is supposed to provide a train service. Don't you know the SMRT manages retail stores, provides consulting services, sells equipment and best of all provides jobs for the lads ( who were once in uniform). Oh yes , moving people is another one of its duties but hardly priority given the poor job they make of it.
