SINGAPORE - The Housing Board launched for sale more than 7,500 new flats on Tuesday.
This includes 4,277 Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in Sembawang, Sengkang, Yishun and Tampines, as well as 3,291 Sale of Balance Flats (SBF).
The new BTO projects include mostly two-room to five-room flats, but the Tampines GreenRidges project is also offering multi-generational 3Gen flats, which are going from $407,000 excluding grants.
Applications must be submitted by Dec 1, 2014.

Misleading title. 3,291 Sale of Balance Flats are not "new flats". Otherwise, every flat in Singapore is a "new" flat.

However, the balance flats don't seem to be new flats, meaning lifespan less than 99 yrs and not cheap.
A 4 room in Bishan costs over 400k that's very expensive still.

And why singles can only buy 2 room BTO flat?
Meaning 1 bedroom and 1 hall?
