Present taxi meter rates is fiexed in early 2012 when fuel cost were even less than now
It is over due for fare hike
Drivers already suffer more than 2 years of fuel price hikes and hyperinflations in EVERYTHING from own living expenses to taxi rental hikes ERP hikes parking hikes accident claim excess hikes etc etc fo more than 2 years
If no fare hike there ought to be a nation wide taxi strike
because when fuel prices are high, they form a larger component of operating costs resulting in higher fares
but when fuel prices are low, they are but one small component of overall operating costs, so fares will not drop.

Head you win , Tail we lose. You have all your angles covered up nicely.
Fuel price high, form higher operating cost.
Fuel price lower, form lower operating costs.
So you might as well set your own pricing and you decide how much to charge. No need to talk to argue.
